Club Blazers

Dear Lymm RFC member/supporter,

As you will no doubt be aware, Lymm has been competing in the RFU Level 5 competitions since September 2010 – after Rossendale (who pipped us by 1 year) I think that we have the second longest serving continuous record of any club in the country at this level.  Whilst on the one hand you might say that this means we have never been promoted to Level 4, importantly, it means that we have never been relegated either !! – which with the highly competitive nature of this league and 3 clubs relegated each season, is no mean achievement and one of which we are all incredibly proud.

Over this 11+ year period we have called on the services of over 140 players.  However, within this group there is a hard core who have been present week in,week out through large parts of this period of great success for the club.  The Executive have decided that it is about time that these achievements and the commitments that our players have shown to the club should be recognised.  Consequently, we are in the process of finalising the designs of a blazer and a waistcoat to be awarded to players who have reached the 200 and 100 match milestones since September 2010.

In conjunction with this, we have developed a blazer design, which will be a variation of, but not the same as, the player design, for supporters – the design is attached.

The supplier we have selected is Clifton Clothing (www.cliftonclothing.co.uk) – whose literature says that they offer a unique range of quality garments which are on a par with leading brands – premium fabric, excellent fit, superb comfort & lasting durability – with the added benefit of being made to order so adjustable to any design you have in mind.  Their Holland Blazers include individual names/initials embroidered patches inside each blazer and a black inner lining.

The price will depend on the quantity ordered but for 15+ has been estimated at £150 and for 25+ at £130.
