Friday night rugby at Lymm Rugby Club gets running

Author: Simon Plumb

Last Friday night, despite being a chilly evening, saw a large gathering of Mini and Junior players, along with their parents, for a great night of rugby.

The Under 9’s hosted a triangular tournament between Lymm, Sale and Warrington in what turned out to be a competitive but enjoyable run-out for everyone.

Also Lymm’s U10’s and U13’s both had great training sessions on the Artificial Grass Pitch, under the lights.

Despite the cold weather it was great fun for the players whilst the parents gathered round the pitch and at the Halfway House for a social evening and refreshments, with hot food and cold beer!

There were approximately 150 young players and, after the games, everyone retired to the warmth of the Clubhouse, which remained busy into the evening.

This Friday Lymm U11’s are hosting Sandbach, with the game kicking off at 7pm. Everyone is welcome and Lymm’s warm hospitality will be in evidence once again.
