At these unprecedented and challenging times it is vital we as a club play our part in supporting our local community.
The great sport of rugby has some over riding principles of play. At the core is the principle of support. We at Lymm Rugby Club would like to ask all of our members through the mini and juniors teams, senior squads and social members to support our ‘Big Donation Day’ in conjunction with the Leave No One Behind Campaign in Lymm (LNOBIL) www.lymmhelp.co.uk
If you are able, we are asking you to make a donation to provide food boxes. The food box content relies on donations of tinned, dry, packet foods (NB. fresh foods can’t be taken due to handling and provenance controls) and toiletries.
The immediate beneficiaries of these donations will be Lymm families via the LNOB in Lymm help campaign but also the immediate surrounding areas by way of the LNOBIL partnership with local food-banks, refuges and NHS in Warrington.
What we are asking is that on Sunday 31/05/20 between 12-5pm you bring your donation of the suggested items up to the club. I will organise for a ‘socially distanced’ drop off point utilising the car park area.
I will then take our club donation to LNOBIL team for them to distribute according.
As well as the principles of rugby are core values. One of these is team work. I am sure that if we can pull together here as a team we can make a significant impact for those most vulnerable people in our community.
Love Lymm Rugby Club, Love Lymm
Thanks in anticipation of your support
