On Sunday 8th October, Lymm welcomed Lewis and Judy Hutchings to Beechwood to celebrate the start of The James Hutchings Charity support for our Colts Academy, which comprises U16s, U17s Junior Colts and U18s Senior Colts.
James was a founder member of the Club, Life Member & Club Patron and the 3rd ever Club Captain. He set up his Charitable Trust before his death in 2021. The family and trustees considered that the Club would be an appropriate benefactor of his Charity, which would also keep his memory alive at the Club, with players and members past and present.
James Hutchings
James elder brother Lewis and his wife Judy, travelled over from their home in Anglesey. Lewis is severely, physically handicapped and wheelchair bound and could not be brought up the stairs into the main clubhouse. So the reception was held in the excellent new Tennis pavilion in the walled garden.
Relevant Club Exec personnel and their wives were present, including club friends of James from the 1960s. An added welcome was also given by the current Lymm U17s Colts prior to their match v Knutsford.
