Lymm U16 edge Stockport in thrilling Cheshire Cup Quarter Final
Lymm U16 came away with a deserved win over close rivals Stockport in a hard fought match.
Lymm came out of the gates running and scored two quick unconverted tries in the opening 10 minutes of the match. 10-0.
But Stockport fought back and before long had caught up with two unconverted tries of their own to make it 10-10.
Lymm scored the next try but Stockport would quickly score one back up to make it 20-20.
Lymm then edged ahead as they got a penalty in front of Stockport posts which they succesfully kicked, 23-20.
Then Stockport burst through in a well-executed try which was the first to be converted, 23-27.
The final score however went to Lymm with only minutes to go which was converted to make it 30-27 and managed to hold out for the last few minutes.
