Lymm Under 14’s Win Caldy Festival

‘Where there’s muck there’s brass’… or in the case of Lymm’s U14s, where there’s mud there’s silverware!

The 31st Caldy Youth Festival attracted teams from across the North West and Wales for a day of rugby played in great spirit.

Lymm made a sluggish start but grew in confidence as the day went on, with notable victories against Old Parkonians, hosts Caldy and Wirral in the semi-final, to setup an Anglo-Welsh cup final against a strong Mold team.

A close competitive game saw Lymm edge it by two tries to one to bring the cup home to Beechwood.
