LYMM v WIRRAL + 2’s & 3’s all at home KO 2.15pm

We have 3 games at home this weekend, so it promises to be a Rugby Fest start to the new year 2019.

Lymm 1stXV are at home to 7th placed Wirral: Lymm 2ndXV v Preston Grasshoppers 2ndXV: Lymm Eagles v Carrington 1stXV.

The first half of the season saw an unprecedented injury crisis develop at the club. Head Coach and Director of Rugby, Adam Fletcher, had an ongoing nightmare as the injury list grew.

He brought 2nd XV and Senior Colts into the team and shuffled playing positions, in patched up squads each week. The positive side to this was, aspiring 2nd team and Colts players were given an earlier than expected 1st team call up.

He wasn’t let down, as they all fronted up well to the challenge. Towards the end of the year, the team saw light at the end of the tunnel with two excellent performances; a win over 8th placed Sandal and a draw away to 4th placed Rossendale.

So, show your support for all our teams and be on the touchline this Saturday.
