President’s pre-match lunch off to a cracking start!

Lymm’s new President, Varun Maharaj (left), hosted the 2023/24 season’s inaugural pre-match lunch, as 70 guests enjoyed a high quality three course meal in the clubhouse, prepared by the new chef and catering team at Lymm Rugby Club.

Varun received the traditional plaque from Wharfedale’s Chair, John Sykes (right), who commented, ‘As old adversaries over many years it is good to be back in each others’ company once again.’

This coming Saturday 9th September, Lymm play Huddersfield at home and another pre-match lunch is planned. The meal is £30 per head, including wine and entry to the match. Doors open at 12.30pm for a 1pm sit down. Kick off is at 3pm.
