ROGER HOUGHTON RIP 1939 – 2021

Sadly we must report the recent death of Roger Houghton.

A Club Vice President, Roger has been a continuous member since 1960 and attended the first Club Dinners in 1961 and 1962 at The George Hotel in Knutsford.

Although not a playing member, he has been a loyal supporter of the club for 60 years. Together with his wife June, he enjoyed club social functions, especially the Panto and supported all major club fund raising initiatives such as our 500 Club draw.

Until poor health set in a few years ago, together with June, he was a post match regular at the bar every Saturday evening. He will be missed by us all. We send our sincere sympathy to June and his sister Jennifer and her family.

His funeral will be held on Friday 10th December at St Wilfrid’s Church, Grappenhall at 11.30am. His friends are then invited to join the family for refreshments at The Park Royal Hotel, Stretton.
