Lymm took a weakened side to Caldy with only 4 players from last week’s 18 turning out. Conditions were windy but dry under foot as Caldy kicked off with the wind behind them. It was from the very first play they scored and they continued to score at regular intervals. 

They were too fast and strong for the Lymm side who had their moments of pressure but Caldy managed to defend their line. Ht 36-0 The second half was more of the same but again Lymm pressed for periods but could make the line and inevitably Caldy would gain possession and score. Lymm kept at it to the end and never gave in against superior opponents. In the forwards Dan Horton led from the front making ground every time he had the ball and in, the backs Josh Davies continued his good form with strong runs and breaks. Jonno Fletcher made his debut in the centre although rusty from not playing for a while, he showed some good touches.

Next week Lymm 2’s are away to Macclesfield 2’s. Then on Saturday 2nd February, they switch to the new Conference B League and are at home to Blackburn 2’s
