Lymm Under 5's 2024/25 Season
Lymm Under 5’s are our youngest age group at Lymm, mainly for children in reception although we can take a year younger in some cases. We play Tag (non contact) rugby in a safe and friendly environment where we aim to develop the whole child through rugby but where the focus is on fun and enjoyment.
In this first year we concentrate on agility, balance and co- ordination skills which are the building blocks of a rugby player but also fully transferable to other sports. The children are also taught the fundamentals of rugby such as passing and catching, and the importance of being a member of a team.
The Under 5’s do not play fixtures but train every Sunday at the club from 8.30 to 9:30am on the on the Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP).
New players, both boys and girls, and parent coaches/helpers are always welcome. Each new starter can enjoy three trial sessions with no commitment to join unless the child is happy to continue. Most important for many is a free hotdog at the end of the session.
Should your child wish to continue after their trial session(s) they will need to have the correct studded footwear. Please view the AGP protocols or speak to one of the coaches.
We use a whatsapp group for quick updates and an app called Heja to collect a register and register attendance.

Please be aware that training and fixtures can take place on the Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP), as such compliant footwear is compulsory. Please ensure you have familiarised yourself with the AGP protocols and are compliant before attending.
