The attached is an article from the Warrington Guardian at the time. Both went on to play 1st XV for Lymm and indeed met their wives at the club.

Between 1973 and 1981, Lymm won the Cheshire Colts Shield 6 times, 4 on the trot from 78 to 81.

Many of our former Colts are today holding down key positions in the running of the club.
